Odds & Ends (well at least odds)

Lots of stuff to cover so lets get to it...
  • So I finally did make my hockey pick for the Olympics. The day of the first game I chose Slovakia to win out and it looks like I might have been right. I still love Canadian hockey but I just can't cheer for a team led by a GM that would name his friends to the roster at the expense of younger more talented players. As for the US it seems like they've finally figured it out. After getting spanked by the rest of the world and compiling a 1-4-1 there's now a call for an overhaul of team USA ( great article HERE) . I love seeing these washed up losers finally getting what they deserve I especially enjoyed it when Mike Madono was benched in the third period of the last game.
  • I spent last weekend back in the 'port, sorry I didn't bother to let any of you know but I only came in to help clean out my grandparents old house so I spent the whole weekend down there. I should be back in town in two weeks because Penn State likes to have spring break while it's still fricken freezing out. No real plans for the week yet, I'm a little too broke to tag along with the group that's going to Florida but a random roadtrip or a little backpacking isn't out of the question. I'm open to suggestions let me know.
  • A little heads up, Discovery Channel is showing the documentary Grizzly Man saturday and sunday nights at eight. Grizzly Man is the story of amateur grizzly expert Timothy Treadwell who spent thirteen years living with the grizzlies in Katmia National Park. You know with a title like "amateur grizzly expert" there can only be one outcome, all I can say is that a mauling has never been this entertaining.
  • Oh and with the State College area under a full scale Bizzyween warning I've decided to go ahead and fire the local head of FEMA before he has a chance to screw up. Here's hoping that people are trapped on their roofs before the visit's over.
ok I think it's about time I start writing my history paper

peace out yo

Just 60 Minutes from Immortality

So I'm totally not going to blow what's turning out to be a very eventful weekend writing a long post. The final score for tomorrow's game will be 31 - 17 Steelers. And I guess if you can't be in Detroit or the Burgh, State College isn't a bad place to watch the Superbowl especially with all the Eagles fans wandering around looking like somebody just ran their puppy over with an eighteen wheeler . Right-o I'm off to a Black and Gold party at the 1-3-4 .

Oh, and to all you residents of the Steel City, if you feel the need to burn down the city after the Steelers big win tomorrow may I suggest you start Oakland? Just some helpful advice from your favorite resident of the Happy Valley

peace out yo
